How to enable the Race Roster Refund Protection Program on my event
Race Roster offers a refund protection program, purchasable for participants during the registration process. This refund protection allows participants to request a refund for their registration if they are unable to attend an event for a specific reason. Race Roster's refund protection program is free for event organizers to enable on their event, and can be a great way to pull in any runners who are on the fence about wanting to register for a race.
To learn how to enable the Race Roster Refund Protection Program (RPP) on your event, please follow the steps below.
1. From your event dashboard, click on Settings overview from the lefthand side menu.

2. Scroll down to the Add-ons sections and add Race Roster Refund Protection Program.

3. Switch the toggle to ON to enable the integration.

Please note that, when you enable RPP on your event, a registrant will find that opting in is pre-selected for them in the form. All participants who purchase refund protection are sent a purchase confirmation email from our partner Teak, in addition to the system-generated event confirmation email. Participants can learn more about managing their protection from this article . They can also inquire directly with Teak's refund protection team using the links within the purchase confirmation email, or by visiting their Help Center .
Note: Once the integration is on, the participant should select the option best suited for them during the registration process. They can choose to remain opted in, or to opt out. On the rare occasion that a participant wants to change their choice after having registered, here's what can be done:
- If the participant regrets having purchased the RPP and wants to receive a refund for the program fee they had paid, while remaining registered for the event, they can cancel their protection using a link within the Teak confirmation email. The program fee refund will be reflected in the event refund report, but will not affect the event balance.

2. It is not possible to purchase the RPP post-registration. The participant will need to seek out alternative refund protection options of this is something they would like to explore.
